Having seen how the Sky Blues fared relatively well against the clubs who finished in place 7 - 12 in the Championship, results against those from 13 - 18 make much grimmer reading.
Burnley came from a goal down to take three points away from CV6. City's trip to Turf Moor came in the final weeks of the season when a Clive Platt equaliser kept alive faint hopes of survival.
Although Coventry City gained a reputation for conceding late goals throughout the season they twice punished Leeds United in stoppage time. Richard Wood scrambled an equaliser at Elland Road in October before Gary McSheffrey's second penalty of the game grabbed a vital three points in the return fixture.
Ipswich inflicted a 3-0 defeat on the Sky Blues in a live televised fixture at Portman Road in September before a last-gasp Michael Chopra goal gave them all three points at the Ricoh Arena.
Millwall took six points from City and all but consigned their hosts to League One with a victory just over over three weeks ago.
Their local rivals Crystal Palace staged an astonishing comeback in the opening weeks of the season, scoring twice in stoppage time to win at Selhurst Park before the spoils were shared in the reverse fixture.
Peterborough also came away from the Ricoh Arena with a point, one that stopped City's late revival in its tracks. The Posh had edged their home game at London Road.
Games played 12, points gained 7, points per game 0.58.
