'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Manchester rivals unite for Sky Blues

Andy Thorn has praised the impact made by Oliver Norwood and Alex Nimely after the loan duo helped Coventry City gain a crucial win over Portsmouth at the weekend.

Manchester United man Norwood is fast becoming an indispensable part of the Sky Blues side with Thorn's midfield selection decisions revolving around who to select alongside the Northern Ireland international.

Nimely, from across Manchester at City, has provided a different dimension to the City attack and, crucially, has occupied defenders wary of his pace and directness.

That has created space elsewhere, nost notably for Gary McSheffrey to weigh in with some crucial goals.

Highlighting the way the pair have settled in at the Ricoh Arena, Thorn called them a 'credit' to their parent clubs.
