'If It's Football, It's Vital'

City's (hopefully) magnificent seven

And then there were seven.

Seven games left for Coventry City to ensure their Championship safety and achieve something that few have thought possible throughout the entire Championship season.

It all starts next Saturday with an away trip to the KC Stadium to face a Hull City side beaten by their old boss Nigel Pearson at the weekend but still very much in the hunt for a play-off place.

City's results at the Ricoh Arena have kept them in with a chance of staying up and they return home on Easter Saturday to play Peterborough United. Posh games have been full of goals this season but their strength has also been on home soil.

Fortunes in those two games will go a long way to deciding the importance of the Easter Monday game at Ashton Gate, home of a Bristol City side who are currently in the Sky Blues' sights at the foot of the table. Prior to meeting Coventry the Robins play East Midlands rivals Derby and Nottingham Forest.

City then travel to a Burnley side currently anchored in mid-table before potentially crucial back-to-back home fixtures against Millwall and Doncaster Rovers.

At least one set of fans should be in party mood then when Southampton host the Sky Blues on the final day of the season. If it is only one let's hope it's the visitors!
