'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Sky Blue bet

For those of you looking for a horse to back on Saturday afternoon, why not try one with a Sky Blue theme?

Vital Coventry has been scouring the runners and thinks it has to be Talk of Saafend in the 3:00 at Kelso following Freddy Eastwood's loan exit from the Ricoh Arena this week.

Freddy was indeed the talk of Southend during his first spell at Roots Hall and earned himself a big money move to Wolves with his goalscoring exploits.

Although his Molineux spell was short-lived Eastwood was still seen as an ambitious signing for City in 2008 (when SISU did make such moves in the transfer market).

Once again though it never quite happened for him, despite the backing of the crowd who took to the player straight away, and Andy Thorn's insistence that Eastwood's fitness has been far from that required spelled the end.

Talk of Saafend is a long shot for Saturday but it's an even longer price that Eastwood ever appears again in a Sky Blue shirt, a sad ending especially in a season when we have been crying out for a striker to hit the back of the net regularly.
