Managers agree on Sky Blues draw

Both Andy Thorn and Dougie Freedman agreed that a draw was a fair result between Coventry City and Crystal Palace on Tuesday night.

The Sky Blues again showed they haven't given up the relegation ghost, recovering from a controversial penalty award to level late on through Cody McDonald.

Thorn's verdict: 'We were edgy and nervy to begin with but once we settled down we played some good stuff and got in some good areas and we thoroughly deserved a draw.'

Other results were a mixed bag for City who edge a point closer to safety after Nottingham Forest's surprise home defeat against Doncaster, a result which boosts Rovers' own survival hopes.

Palace boss Dougie Freedman commented: 'Overall a draw is probably the correct result because obviously I am disappointed to lose the lead in the last 10 minutes but we have to give credit to Coventry because they showed good fighting spirit and that just might keep them up.'
