Familiar story as Sky Blues are beaten

Familiar story as Sky Blues are beaten

Coventry City were left chasing their local derby against Leicester from an early stage on Saturday as the hosts shrugged off an early penalty miss to take an 11th minute lead through Nugent.

The Sky Blues battled to match their moneyed opponents but looked doomed when Beckford made it two on the hour mark.

A lifeline however was then given and taken away as Sammy Clingan missed a spot-kick of his own for the visitors, who ended the game with a numerical advantage after

Konchesky`s sending-off but were unable to make inroads into the scoreline.
