Portsmouth deduction to revive Sky Blues hopes?
The Guardian is reporting that Portsmouth are set to enter administration for a second time with a 10-point penalty likely to follow for the Fratton Park club.
Such a move would breathe new life into a relegation battle that has previously seen bottom trio Nottingham Forest, Doncaster Rovers and the Sky Blues with a gap to make up on the sides above them.
A 10-point punishment would see Portsmouth drop to 25 points based on the table ahead of Tuesday night's games, level with Forest, one ahead of Doncaster and three above City.
The application for an administration order has been confirmed by the club with that most likely to go through on Friday.
