'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'I'm absolutely gutted for Andy'

"Coventry were excellent for 86 minutes. They defended superbly and got their shape spot on. We couldn`t get our passing game together because our opponents worked so hard to close things down quickly and not give us time on the ball."

For Sky Blue followers though these are just more words similar to what has been said after most Coventry games this season. 'They played well didn't they' but only for so long. Think back to Palace away, Reading, Blackpool. West Ham and Southampton at the Ricoh when the team could not deal with the last period of a game.

Meanwhile an upset Andy Thorn said: "When we got our heads in front I thought we would win it but to lose in that manner was disappointing. We`ve made two defensive mistakes and they`ve cost us.

"Both goals were scrappy and our performance did not deserve that result."

City now have to pick themselves up and prepare for the visit of Ipswich Town on Saturday who just happened last night to wallop the league leaders West Ham United 5-1 at Portman Road.
