'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sky Blues sickener by the seaside

An unbelievable finish at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday night saw Coventry City once again throw away a hard-fought advantage to continue their awayday misery.

Conor Thomas gave the Sky Blues the lead on the hour and Andy Thorn's side inched towards their first away win of the season.

Blackpool however, who levelled late on in the return game at the Ricoh Arena, did so again thanks to the old master Kevin Phillips just three minutes from time before Gary Taylor-Fletcher made it the same old story for City's travelling fans with an injury-time winner that conjured up bad memories of the defeat at Crystal Palace earlier in the campign.

Andy Thorn could do little afterwards but say: "They all did well, all of them - I can't fault them. I'm just disappointed."
