Away daze set to drag City down
Coventry City head to Derby this Saturday looking to make it lucky thirteen as they chase a first away league victory of the season at the thirteenth time of asking.
With over half of the Championship campaign now over the statistics point unfortunately to the Sky Blues being a League One side this time next year and it will be their away form that drags them down unless it improves dramatically.
Form at the Ricoh Arena actually stands comparison to the teams around City in the table with 4 wins, 4 draws and 5 defeats.
Away from home however we have a truly terrible record of just 3 draws and no wins from 12 games.
With the average number of points needed to stay up in past three seasons having been 46, the Sky Blues need 27 points from 21 games at an average of 1.29 per game (currently they have 0.76) or 9 wins from less games than it has taken them to register 4!

The question is have we been unlucky away from home, doing the best with what we have got.
Or as the gameplan been not good enough on too many occasions, simply playing the way we have been doing at home and getting caught out?
