Adams praises McSheffrey display
In-demand striker Gary McSheffrey was the subject of discussion once again after his late goal gave Coventry City a 2-1 win against Sunderland in their opening match of the Championship season.
Birmingham City are back in for the 23-year-old with a fourth bid being made by the St Andrew's club.
Sky Blues boss Micky Adams said afterwards however: 'I have read that Birmingham are going to come back in for McSheffrey but hopefully they will understand we do not want to sell him.
'Of course every player has a price but where am I going to find someone who will replace Gary?
'He was brilliant today, a real threat who was full of running forward and back, put in some great crosses and scored a good goal as well.'
