'If It's Football, It's Vital'

How to start a transfer rumour!

During the international break, in a quiet moment as Coventry City took a breather from what is becoming a relegation scrap at the foot of the Championship, Vital Coventry speculated idly about signing Wolves winger Michael Kightly on loan as he looked to get games under his belt following an injury lay-off.

Like a game of chinese whispers that moment's thought has gathered a momentum of its own to the point where the Sky Blues have denied any interest in the former non-league wideman despite being 'linked'.

While there was little or no substance to this story it is clear that few fans believe the club's insistence that they are actively looking for loan signings or that it is Andy Thorn who has knocked back some potential new faces.

And now he's gone to Watford, another team in and around us in the table. I find it hard to believe that, if he was offered him, Andy Thorn would say no to a player like that
