'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ipswich still searching for the winning formula

It's Ipswich Town versus the Sky Blues on Monday night, a second successive live TV outing for Andy Thorn's men, who should go into the game at Portman Road bristling with confidence following their 2-0 victory over Derby County last Saturday.

The hosts meanwhile, despite a summer of transfer activity that has left them with a tasty-looking squad, including the likes of Michael Chopra, Ibrahima Sonko, Lee Bowyer and Jimmy Bullard, have struggled with five defeats in their last six games and a host of goals conceded.

Manager Paul Jewell is under pressure after some calamitous defeats, notably when shipping seven at Peterborough and, speaking after the most recent reverse away to Blackpool, admitted: 'At the moment we are a team that is lacking, we don`t have the right formula. We are searching for that formula, but we are a bit unbalanced, we know that.

'It`s hard work, and, to be honest, we don`t know our best team is at the moment.'
