Adams confirms Man City interest

Coventry City manager Micky Adams has confirmed he was in the hunt for Lee Croft before the winger's £600,000 move from Manchester City to Norwich at the weekend.

'Our recruitment is ongoing,' said Adams.

'We were in for Lee Croft and we are disappointed to miss out on that one, but we have other targets which we will pursue this week.'

Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce meanwhile has told the Evening Mail that a third offer for Gary McSheffrey was made on Friday, although he did not disclose the amount.

City have rejected the 3rd bid as well. Surely that is it now?

I think the Scowie deal gave us a bit of breathing space with the bank so hopefully Mini Mac will stay.
