'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Last chance to make it

Sky Blues forward Freddy Eastwood has been sent to an intensive fitness course at the National Sports Centre at Lilleshall as at present his levels of fitness are not what City boss Andy Thorn thinks they should be.

Eastwood is in the last year of his contract and has always been a favourite of the supporters but for whatever reason has always flattered to deceive so these next few months are now crunch time for him.

He is joined in Shropshire by midfielder Gary Deegan who has been sidelined for a year with various injuries so the City boss wants to try and fast track his fitness in order that he can be considered for selection. If the visit works out for Deegan it would be like having a new signing joining the Sky Blues as he is highly rated by Andy Thorn.

That's it now for Eastwood - given plenty of chances but Thorn is obviously (and rightly) furious with him.

a lot of potential but maybe not the drive to succeed and go to the next level. A waste of a talent.
