Coventry seal deal for 'exciting' McDonald

Coventry City have, at long last, made their first outfield signing of the transfer window by completing a deal for Norwich City striker Cody McDonald.

Andy Thorn told the official club website that he was pleased to get his 'number one choice' into the club as he looks to boost his shot-shy side's goalscoring record.

The City boss also said that a number of deadline day offers for Lukas Jutkiewicz have been turned down.

With three hours to go until the end of the transfer window fans will be hoping that remains the case both for Jutkiewicz and skipper Sammy Clingan.
