Sky Blues take point

Fielding an unchanged side from last week's home draw with Watford, Coventry City showed a lot of character in coming from behind to take a draw.

Middlesbrough took the lead on 21 minutes through Emnes and dominated the first half but to the Sky Blues credit they did not give up and equalised on 76 minutes with a close range headed effort from Lukas Jutkiewicz.

The Sky Blues will travel home pleased with their performance and with the international break now upon us have two weeks to prepare for the home encounter with Derby County. It will be interesting to see if City have any comings and goings before the transfer window closes but with the collapse of takeover talks then player exits would appear more likely than new signings.

Andy Thorn however continues to enjoy the backing of Sky Blues' supporters and another positive display at the Riverside Stadium pleased the City boss who said afterwards: "I'm really proud of the lads.

"They kept at it. That is a tremendous point for us, and it was well deserved."
