Would Adam be Le Answer for Sky Blues?

A rare piece of transfer gossip involving a potential Coventry City signing this summer has seen Adam Le Fondre linked with a move to the Ricoh Arena.

National newspaper reports suggest that the Sky Blues have seen a 500,000 offer knocked back by Rotherham for a player who is entering the final year of his current deal.

Many clubs will have taken a close look at the Stockport-born striker with the French name over the years but as yet no-one has taken a gamble on bringing him into the Championship.

That is despite a goalscoring record of 106 goals in 258 league appearances in the lower leagues for Stockport County, Rochdale and Rotherham United.

Last summer saw Derby County and Leicester City linked with the player but no firm bids being lodged and it is the Sky Blues who are being credited with an interest.

I think we may have made a cheeky bid but we couldn't afford to go any higher given our current plight
