Bluebirds move for City midfielder

Bluebirds move for City midfielder

Aron Gunnarsson has ended his three-year association with Coventry City by turning down the club's offer of a new contract and signing a deal with their Championship rivals.

A huge hit in his first season with the Sky Blues, the Icelandic midfielder's form was erratic thereafter although he had shown signs of fitting in well to Andy Thorn's diamond formation at the end of last season.

City had made a good offer to Gunnarsson and will now received compensation for the 22-year-old, who made 109 league starts for the club.
