Championship: transfer latest (3)

The rumour mill is kicking firmly into gear in the Championship as teams begin shaping their plans for the 2011/12 campaign and Vital Coventry rounds up the latest rumours across the division.

Hull City A powerful frontman looks to be at the top of Tigers' boss Nigel Pearson's shopping list and he has already been linked with Steve Howard of Leicester City and Chris Iwelumo of Burnley this summer. Now the KC Stadium boss has held talks with veteran former Coventry City striker Dele Adebola, a free agent after the expiry of his Nottingham Forest contract.

Ipswich Town The Suffolk side appear to have plenty of money to spend on the right striker to boost Paul Jewell's attacking options next season having already seen a £2m+ bid for Billy Sharp knocked back by Doncaster Rovers. Now they are being linked with Cardiff City frontman Michael Chopra while also in the frame for Preston North End wideman Keith Treacy.

Leeds United Neil Kilkenny is poised to join Bradley Johnson in leaving Elland Road this summer after turning down a new Whites contract. Sunderland, Stoke and Bolton have all been linked with Johnson.

Leicester City The Foxes want a goalkeeper and have been linked with both Kasper Schmeichel and Coventry City's departing star Keiren Westwood as well as Manchester City veteran Shay Given. Another Sky Blues man, striker Marlon King, is also on Sven's radar with Emile Heskey, Nicky Maynard and Yakubu other contenders to add to the attacking options at the Walkers Stadium.
