City fail to impress at Halesowen

A strong Coventry City side were well beaten by Southern Premier League opponents Halesowen on Monday night.

Although billed as a reserve team game for the Sky Blues, new signings Colin Cameron and David McNamee joined the likes of Matt Heath and James Scowcroft in the starting XI.

Kevin Thornton scored City's goal, a consolation after efforts from Matt Lewis (2) and Grant Beckett for the home side.
