'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Safety confirmed for City

The Sky Blues fought out an exciting 1-1 draw with the Iron this afternoon in the first Good Friday game played by Coventry City.

City took the lead after 5 minutes through Marlon King who netted his 13th goal of the season only to be pegged back by Nunez in 38th minute.

The result consolidated the Sky Blues in 16th place but did nothing to help Scunthorpe in their dramatic attempt to climb out of the bottom 3.

Today's result meant that in the 7 games played under Andy Thorn and Steve Harrison, City have won 3, drawn 3 and suffered 1 defeat which must give the board real food for thought for the next City manager. The buzz around the City, the home crowd and the team is due to the caretaker management duo who have transformed the playing side of the club.

It seems light years away the poor performances we endured under Aidy Boothroyd and it is now an expectant pleasure to watch the Sky Blues. We do hope the board do not do to Thorn and Harrison what previous Directors did to Eric Black and Roland Nilsson.
