Relegation fears remain for Coventry City
Just seven points separate Coventry City from the Championship relegation zone after yet another trip to Deepdale ended in despair on Saturday afternoon.
Nathan Ellington, ironically a striker signed for big money by Aidy Boothroyd while he was Watford boss, condemned the Sky Blues to defeat with an injury time winner.
Boothroyd's caretaker successor Andy Thorn had earlier seen David Bell level Iain Hume's opener with a goal that looked set to earn the visitors a point.
Thorn, while lamenting the late error that cost City the game, told the official club website afterwards: "I still want the boys to play and keep playing because that's what got us back into the game in the first place."
