The Sky Blues new caretaker manager surprised everyone on Tuesday night with a major change in the way the team plays. Going with three up front, Jutkiewicz, McSheffrey and Eastwood, caused Burnley all sorts of problems and gave Coventry City a well deserved point.
Speaking to the Coventry Evening Telegraph, Andy Thorn praised his players for embracing the changes after an intensive tactics session on Monday afternoon.
'I thought the boys were absolutely fantastic. We changed quite a bit in a short period of time.
'We loaded a lot of information into them in one go and I thought they were awesome. I felt we deserved, maybe, a little more from the game.'
The Sky Blues now prepare for Saturdays' trip to Preston North End hoping to build on the promising start made under Thorn and Steve Harrison. They are eight points clear of the relegation zone and if they can get a positive result at Deepdale it will take them into the International break with renewed confidence.
For Thorn himself it was an impressive job interview and although he was at pains after the match not to mentioned Aidy Boothroyd's style of play, it seems he is determined to make his time in charge, be that a long or short period, one where entertaining, attacking football is the order of the day.
