'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'Michael Quirke outstanding'

Coventry City waited until the last possible moment for Kieron Westwood to be fit last night but it wasn't to be so 19 year old Michael Quirke made his full debut.

Manager Aidy Boothroyd thought he was outstanding and contributed to a very good team performance after last Saturday's horror show. 'He is a level headed person with good distribution skills, he said. 'I was happy with a point and thought overall we played the better football and were disappointed not to be given a penalty.

The Sky Blues now prepare for this Saturdays' home game with Hull City looking for a win that will take pressure off everyone at the Ricoh, especially for the fans who have have stuck by the team during the poor run since before Christmas.

Good to see Aidy give the lad a chance and not sign up a loan keeper for just one or two games
