Marlon King gets 4 game ban

To add to the Sky Blues woes, leading scorer Marlon King will miss the upcoming games with Doncaster, Hull, Burnley and Preston.

His red card against Bristol City was spotted by the assistant and appeared to be for raising his hand against Robins defender Damion Stewart. Aidy Boothroyd said after the game that he did not see the incident but admitted that if King raised his hand he had to go.

Marlon was sent off in the home New Year's Day fixture against Ipswich Town. He has proved on his return to football that he is a class player and has demonstrated his committment to Coventry City with some outstanding displays, but maybe his name counts against him.

The club decided not to appeal against the sending off as they did not want the ban increased by the Football Association.
