'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dates announced for Olympic Football 2012

Details released today have given the Ricoh Arena a feast of football during the London Olympics-2012.

Two Preliminary Group matches will played on July 25th, two days before the opening ceremony in London, with kick-offs at 1700 and 1945.

The last game at the home of the Sky Blues will be a Bronze Medal match to be held on August 9th with kick off timed for 1300.

For the duration of the London games the Ricoh Arena has to change it's name to 'City of Coventry' Stadium to meet rules laid down under the Olympic charter.
