Vital win comes at crucial time for City

Coventry City can look upwards instead of over their shoulders after Saturday's crucial win against Crystal Palace which moved them onto 39 points in the Championship, 11 clear of Sheffield United who occupy the final relegation place at present.

And with the Sky Blues having played more games than most other teams in the division the victory came at a crucial time following their long run of games without a win.

A number of clubs will catch up on postponed fixtures this midweek while City are also not in action next weekend when scheduled opponents Burnley play in the FA Cup.

A defeat on Saturday followed by a ten day break could have seen Aidy Boothroyd's side fall to the fringes of the relegation scrap but hopefully now he will be able to get back some of the walking wounded who have been missing since the turn of the year and ready his squad for the final third of the campaign.
