Bosses agree: Taarabt too good for QPR

For the second time in the space of a few short weeks, a moment of magic from Adel Taarabt helped Queens Park Rangers defeat Coventry City as Sunday's Championship clash ended in a 2-1 win for the home side.

The Moroccan midfielder levelled the game on half-time with a superb strike before expertly setting up Wayne Routledge to hit the winner on his second R's debut.

While admitting that his men had been undone once again by Taarabt, Aidy Boothroyd questioned afterwards: 'With that talent you have to ask why is he here?'

And home boss Neil Warnock was candid as to Taarabt's future as well, commenting: 'My son brought his mate today just to see Taarabt. He thinks he should be playing for Real Madrid. And he could, but first of all he's got to help me.'

The Sky Blues battled hard against the league leaders and needn't be too down at the loss of even a point. QPR's financial muscle, which allowed them this week to sign Routledge and Pascal Chimbonda despite attracting just 13,000 to Sunday's game clearly puts them in a different league.

Our attendance wasn't necessarily helped by approximately 400 away fans!

So that leaves around 12,600 home fans for a team top of the league yet able to bring in two players from the Prem this week
