Coventry City's improved displays against Crystal Palace and Sheffield United should stand them in good stead for a quartet of tough games to come over the next few weeks.
Sunday sees a quickfire return game against Queens Park Rangers who eased to victory at the Ricoh Arena just after Christmas in a game, like this weekend's that has been chosen for TV coverage. Neil Warnock's men remain well on course for promotion despite a slight dip in their fortunes over recent weeks.
Then it is a trip to Premier League neighbours Birmingham City for an FA Cup 4th Round tie which the Sky Blues will fancy their chances of getting a result from given that Blues are currently focused on both a relegation scrap and a potential place in the League Cup final. Alex McLeish will however be looking for some his fringe players to make an impact and saw a much-changed side ease past Millwall in Round 3.
Boothroyd's boys follow that up by facing two of the Championship's form teams in the space of five days. Nottingham Forest's season has been slowly gathering pace in recent weeks and sparked into life with a home hammering of local rivals Derby County over Christmas.
Leeds United meanwhile are looking good to make it two promotions in successive seasons and have proved pretty formidable at Elland Road over the course of the current campaign.
