City call it right on season ticket prices

Coventry City have announced a simplified pricing structure for next season with the Ricoh Arena separated into just three zones and reduced prices for the majority of those season ticket holders who want to renew for 2010/11.

The cheapest adult season ticket will cost £286 with head of marketing Stephen Ebanks telling the Coventry Telegraph: '(that) is just over £12 per game - and you can sit in over 50 per cent of the stadium, which is a choice of over 17,000 seats with absolutely no gimmicks.'

A low base of season ticket holders, this season's attendances and the economic climate may all have forced the club's hand to some extent but the announcement made on Tuesday is positive, pro-active and probably as much as City could have done to make football at the Ricoh affordable to the majority.

And anyone who does sign up by the 30 April deadline for early-bird prices will be getting a bargain should the Sky Blues revive their promotion challenge and end up in the Premier League.
