Palace as you were for FA Cup clash

Palace as you were for FA Cup clash

Crystal Palace will not have a new manager in their dug-out for Saturday's FA Cup clash against Coventry City.

Bournemouth's up-and-coming young boss Eddie Howe has been strongly linked with the job vacated by George Burley recently but the Eagles have denied that a deal is already done to take from the South Coast to South London.

Veteran former Palace striker Dougie Freedman will again take charge therefore for the trip to the Ricoh Arena but is likely to be without Darren Ambrose. The midfielder, who scored against Coventry earlier in the season, is being treated with kid gloves in order to boost his battle against a hamstring injury.

The home side meanwhile will be without James McPake but Aidy Boothroyd has said he will play the strongest side available to him.
