Solid Sky Blues make their point

Solid Sky Blues make their point

Coventry City showed their rugged side when picking up a valuable away point at Reading on Saturday afternoon.

Four Sky Blues players were yellow carded in a game of few chances at the Madejski Stadium.

Aidy Boothroyd's side lie firmly in the play-off places and just three points off automatic promotion after proving again that they are one of the most difficult sides to beat in the Championship.

He said afterwards: "I am really happy with a point. I said before the start that this would be our toughest game and it was. They put you on the back foot and keep coming in waves, but both teams went at it.

"We didn't start well even though we knew what would happen. They looked like they had been on red meat and we had to be strong and resilient and we did that. In the first half they were the better team but in the second half we shaded it."
