King off the mark - says Aidy
Coventry City boss Aidy Boothroyd had special praise for controversial striker Marlon King after he did everything but open his Sky Blues account on Saturday afternoon.
The former Watford man was at the heart of everything good that City did at Scunthorpe and his efforts on goal led to Gary McSheffrey's opener and goalkeeper Joe Murphy's own goal.
'For me that was Marlon's goal,' said Boothroyd about the second goal.
'He has worked so hard since joining us.'
The manager, who felt City 'adapted' better to the conditions at Glanford Park, added: 'He deserves to be credited with a goal. It takes a great deal of character to come back from a place where Marlon has been. He knows that and is working so hard for this club.'
