City still keen on Spurs keeper

Coventry City have not given up hope of landing goalkeeper Marton Fulop on a permanent deal from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Hungarian, impressive in a long loan spell at the Ricoh last season, has a year left on his White Hart Lane deal but will be allowed to leave for the right price.

'We are trying everything in our power to get Marton Fulop at a price that the club can afford,' said managing director Paul Fletcher.

'He had been linked with Wigan but they seem to be making a move for Chris Kirkland which perhaps helps our cause a bit.

'But the thing we have in our favour is the fact that Marton wants to come here. Unfortunately we appear to be caught in a bit of a waiting game.'

I say if he wants to come to you Tottenham should either sell him to you or let him come to you on loan again, Tottenham have got excellent keepers that are before Fulop in the pecking order anyway.

Should make a bid for Robert Green of Norwich, when fit he won't want to sit on the sidelines if paul (his replacement) keeps playing as well as he did at the end of last season
