Keane to strengthen ahead of City clash

Coventry City will face an Ipswich Town side shorn of loanee defender Darren O'Dea this weekend but who could be fortified by the signing of a new player.

With Celtic centre-half O'Dea out for six weeks having undergone knee surgery, manager Roy Keane has said there is a 'good chance' that a loan signing will be made in time for Saturday's clash.

The visitors will themselves be without on-loan wide midfielder Danny Ward.

Given plenty of opportunities by Aidy Boothroyd since signing from Bolton Wanderers, the 19-year-old has suffered a hernia and returned to his parent club for treatment.

*****Update*****Jack Colback, the young Sunderland midfielder who impressed on loan at Ipswich last season has rejoined the Blues in time for the game.
