1m defender for City?

The Birmingham Post reports on Friday that 21-year-old West Ham central defender Elliott Ward will become Coventry City's first seven-figure signing since Lee Hughes in 2001 within the next few days.

Ward played six times for the Hammers last season and also had an impressive loan spell at Plymouth Argyle.

Looks a good signing. Not sure where the money has come from though!

Money has come from the 'operation prmeiership' initiative. Check our main site for details. I feel though he costs too much and should not be on a 4 year deal. I feel he will add talent to our squad though.
