England star wary of John threat

Frank Lampard believes Coventry City forward Stern John and former Manchester United man Dwight Yorke are the key figures standing between England and a World Cup win over Trinidad & Tobago on Thursday.

Ahead of the clash in Nuremberg the Chelsea star said: 'Dwight Yorke and Stern John are lively strikers and they have a great eye for a goal.

'Dwight has loads of experience and someone who I'm sure can play very well against England.

'Stern John is very sharp and they will be a threat so we have to make sure we keep them quiet.'

To be honest I don't think either of them will be a threat. Would like to see Stern score but only a consolation goal

DY has played as a central midfielder for the best part of last year and looked average in front of goal, he is no longer a striker and could only pose a problem to us going forward. Stern looked a little better in WC game one but didn't command a decent save from the keeper, we have a better defence and a better keeper so no chance again.

Typical T&T players. Cannot do the business when up against class defenders. Thats why they are where they are. I think you should try and watch football before you comment on it green giant, TBH.
