McSheffrey special wins it for City
Coventry City were 2-1 winners against Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night, Gary McSheffrey sealing the three points with a superb headed goal late in the game.
Having justifiably claimed that they were unlucky not to beat Preston on Saturday, the Sky Blues could easily have been down and out before their winner, the visitors having squandered a host of chances as they took charge of what had been an even contest in the last half an hour.
City seemed to fall apart during that final period but still showed plenty of spirit and in the end claimed a victory that takes them up to a healthy 9th place in the Championship.
