Elsewhere...

While Coventry City have been making headlines of their own with the signing of Marlon King on a free transfer, there has been a bit of movement elsewhere in the Championship this week.

Veteran goalkeeper Richard Wright has signed a four-month deal with Sheffield United after being without a club since the end of last season.

Leeds are keen on loan deals for two players, Sunderland left-back George McCartney and former Sky Blues striker Leon Best, currently on the fringes at Newcastle.

Swansea City meanwhile are trialling striker Razak Omotoyossi from Benin in a reserve team game on Wednesday night.

Leaving the division temporarily are Norwich midfielder Matt Gill, set for a loan move to Peterborough and Cardiff youngster Nathaniel Jarvis, who is set to feature for Southend reserves on Wednesday.
