King 'grateful' for Coventry chance

King 'grateful' for Coventry chance

A transfer that was tipped to happen from the day Aidy Boothroyd became Coventry City manager finally went through on Monday as Marlon King signed an initial one-year deal with the Sky Blues.

'I am very grateful for the chance Coventry City have given me and I look forward to working with Aidy again,' King told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.

Boothroyd will continue to monitor King in training before deciding when to pitch him into Championship football.

He added: 'When I managed Marlon at Watford, he was a first-class professional and I fully expect that to be the case at Coventry.'
