Derby star: 'we battered them'

Derby County's goalscorer at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday, makeshift striker Dean Moxey, felt the Rams had only themselves to blame for leaving CV6 without a point from their clash with Coventry City.

Speaking to his club's official website, Moxey said: 'We battered them in all honesty, but goals win games.'

Assistant manager Gary Crosby painted a similar picture, claiming that the Rams had 'dominated' the home side.

The stats do point to Derby having 54% of the play but both sides can point to missing good chances, Gary McSheffrey in particular sidefooting wide a glorious opportunity to make it 2-0 to City before half-time.
