Sky Blues & Shrews draw a blank

Coventry City and Shrewsbury played out a goalless draw on Tuesday night as Aidy Boothroyd took advantage of the penultimate chance to look over his options for the new season.

The Sky Blues boss, who handed debuts to Lee Carsley and Lukas Jutkiewicz, will again have been pleased to see his side keep a clean sheet, their third in a row against full-time opposition.

West Brom provide a step up in opposition this weekend before the big kick-off against Portsmouth.
