Coventry City latest

Two players are currently on trial with the Sky Blues at their pre-season training camp in Austria.

Carl Zeiss Jena goalkeeper Carsten Nulle is being lined up as back-up for Keiren westwood while You Tube regular Orlando Smeekes, a Netherlands Antilles international striker no less and also lately of Carl Zeiss Jena in Germany is also trying to impress.

Boss Aidy Boothroyd has confirmed that he did make a bid to sign central defender Neill Collins, who has opted to join Leeds United, and still wants to add a centre-half, a winger and a striker to his squad.

Michael Doyle may well be at Boothroyd's disposal however as Leeds have decided against a permanent deal for their former loanee.

The Elland Road clubs have also signed reported City target Lloyd Sam.

Former City manager Chris Coleman meanwhile is in the frame to succeed Paulo Sousa at his hometown club Swansea City.
