Adams on McNamee deal

Coventry City have completed the signing of 25-year-old Livingston and Scotland defender David McNamee on a three-year deal for a fee of up to £100,000.

Manager Micky Adams told the club website: 'We've watched David on numerous occasions and know we've acquired a very good right back who has excellent defensive qualities.

'In addition to this, he's a confident lad who isn't afraid of getting forward when he needs to and I'm sure he'll settle in quickly as part of the group here.

'I look forward to working with him when the players report for pre-season training at the end of the month.'

We don't need a right back! We have Andy Whing! and signing this guy up on a 3 YEAR contract is absolutely ludicrous. Yet more poor management from Adams.

how old is he? he looks like 50 years old in that picture or is that me lol

Much as I like Andy Whing he makes too many basic errors and is not strong enough going forward to be a first team regular at right-back. Adams has done reasonably well in the transfer market to date so it's way too early to judge this new fella.
