City linked with West Ham defender

West Ham United central defender Elliott Ward has emerged as a potential target for Coventry City.

The 21-year-old spent time on loan at Plymouth Argyle last season and impressed with his performances at Home Park.

Plymouth are keen to re-sign him while Norwich City were also linked with a move earlier this week.

Ward is rated at Upton Park and may not be allowed to leave permanently, but a loan deal for the season could be on the cards.

Why would he want to drop down from the premiership. Only one reason would be to improve and he's hardly likely to improve under HOOF pulis is he?
