Coventry City enter their 10th successive season at Championship level with another new manager at the helm in the shape of Aidy Boothroyd.
The former Watford and Colchester boss will lead his new team into action against 23 opponents, who Vital Coventry will be looking at over the next few weeks.
Head-to-head: 14 meetings have taken place between the two clubs since the Sky Blues relegation into the second tier, the highlight for City fans being the 6-2 triumph that marked the final game at
Highfield Road.
The first home game at the Ricoh Arena also saw 6 goals put past the Rams but they have held the upper hand since then, being unbeaten in the 6 subsequent fixtures.
Transfer dealings: City's first season in the Championship saw Horacio Carbonari join them on loan from Derby for what was meant to be a play-off push but which ended in disaster.
Highfield Road hero Mo Konjic was allowed to leave for Pride Park in the summer of 2004 but injuries prevented him from making an impact with the Rams.
Stern John's City career meanwhile looked to be over when he went on loan to the East Midlands early on in the 2005/06 season but he returned to spend another year with the Sky Blues.
The man in charge Nigel Clough endured a tough first full season in charge at Pride Park but has put his own stamp on the Rams having managed to ship out a large number of players during his first 18 months in the hotseat.
