Next City boss: Cotterill now clear favourite

A quiet weekend on the new Coventry City manager front but the bookmakers believe that one candidate is now clear favourite to succeed Chris Coleman at the Ricoh Arena.

Despite his denial last week that he had been contacted by the Sky Blues, Steve Cotterill is as short as 11/10 to be named the new boss in CV6.

The former Burnley manager guided Notts County to the League Two title this season after taking over earlier in the year but will soon be out of contract at Meadow Lane.

His successful return to the dug-out has certainly put Cotterill back in the shop window.

Bookmakers also make him the 6/4 favourite to take over from Paul Mariner at Home Park, home of relegated Plymouth Argyle.
