'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Next City boss: Laszlo keen, Cotterill coy

Friday's main development is the denial by Steve Cotterill that he has been spoken to by Coventry City in regard to succeeding Chris Coleman as manager.

Cotterill, well-versed in the Championship from his time with Burnley, made a successful return to the dug-out in 2010, guiding Notts County to the League Two title.

His Meadow Lane future is in doubt however as his contract was only a short-term deal.
Cotterill told BBC Radio Nottingham: 'It is flattering but I'm level headed.

'I don't get carried away with anything.

'I absolutely don't know any more than I have read.'

Fiery former Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo has thrown his hat into the ring, with the Hungarian's agent quoted as saying 'something different' might benefit the Sky Blues.

Chairman Ray Ranson meanwhile has already met with two potential new managers and the next week or so will surely see more interviews being conducted at the Ricoh Arena.
