Adams delighted with new deal

Coventry City manager Micky Adams has signed the two-year contract extension offered to him by the club.

Adams is now under contract until 2009 and told the club website: 'Coventry City is a very progressive club with a real ambition to return to the Premiership and I'm delighted to be part of what I'm sure will be a very exciting future.

'I believe that the improvement on the pitch has been there for everyone to see this season and that pleases me.

'Having been linked with a number of clubs this summer, I was eager to end the speculation and commit myself to the Sky Blues.'

great manager you got there. I only wish he was still managing us back at Brighton. I got a soft spot for you lot and hope you do well in 2006-07, even if I did get an awful bout of flu after my visit to the Ricoh in february!
